Aman Island

Pulau Aman is a small island in Penang, Malaysia. Famously known as the "Island of Peace", it is a home to a traditional Malay village. There are many interesting places to visit in Pulau Aman such as Jalan Telaga Emas, Batu Perompak and the nearby island of Pulau Gedung.
It is said that Pulau Aman and Pulau Gedung were once owned by two brothers named Mr. Md Saad and his older brother. Saad died at the age of 99.

Pulau Aman imeans "island of peace" and its name suggests, it is the gateway to tranquility and serenity."

TOURISTS heading for Pulau Aman off Batu Kawan, Penang, can now opt to use water taxis to get to the island from the Tanjung Musang jetty. The jetty which was completed in September 2006 would have water taxis plying to and from the island. Taxi fare RM6 per person.(to and fro). Exit North-Ssouth highway at Bukit Tambun - same route to football stadium.
